Besides the excellent bedside manner, thoughtful medical decision making and personal touch you will experience with your direct primary care membership, there is also the factor of convenience in reaching your doctor. The ability to call me - your doctor - when you need me. The wait times at large offices can be just ridiculous. Why put yourself through the frustration, anxiety and uncertainty? You deserve no less. You wouldn’t drive your car around with a check engine light on for months, would you? So why should you wait for months to see your doctor? What good is it to see a substitute doctor who doesn’t know you, hasn’t met you and that you don’t know if you can trust to do the right thing? Ordering too many tests, or not enough tests, or not the RIGHT test is a common experience when you meet a new doctor when your primary isn’t available.
